Whats so special about this app?, only the contact browsing in flip close mode? allmost all the others features are present in the built-in agenda.

I would suggest you try it for 15 days, and you will then see... one handed operation for scrolling through contacts by first, second etc letter, and the possibility to backup the contacts file, with all the category info too (check if your contacts.cdb file is backed up).

there's plenty more, but you can also check www.vitotechnology.com

Hi

I find CQ4 really good

Some of its features are unique, such as jog scrolls down one page at once instead of one line like all other apps and also a unique way to reach a contact: if you want to find e.g. "babis" (on f/c mode) just press quickly: 2-2-2-4-7 and the app highlights all the names containing the letters under above numbers

another feature you don't get in the std contacts app is the ability to assign ringtones to categories, a compress contacts function, but for me the main 2 things are, as Babis said, 1) really easy - & quick - access to contacts, and 2) backing up contacts.

If you ever need to restore a backup, and you thought the contacts file was backed up, and... it wasn't, you'll see the value of this functionality. the restore brings back all categories & ringtones, not like a Vcard or a synch from Outlook

just check this out: http://www.vitotechnology.com[....]ts/quickcontact_p800_p900.html

and how about hiding caller ID by category..?
