hi, i would like to enquire abt the handwriting recognition software on the p910i.. do i have to follow a fixed way of writing with the stylus, or could it be customised to my wants? if not, can i install a software so that it could run the way i want it?

You have to learn I'm afraid but you will be suprised at how quickly you will pick it up as there are a number of ways usually for each character.

I've had/used PocketPC & Palm devices and find I'm far quicker writting on my P910i even though its one character at a time. I can write fault free as quick as I can on a piece of paper! Only text entry on a decent size keyboard is quicker for me.

Handwriting recognition on UIQ is the most natural of them all - palm, and microsoft drivel.

There are a few symbols you have to write differently.. For some symbols you even get several ways of writing - depending on your style.

The hand writing recognition on UIQ is the best of them all.

... just remember not to write too much in the screen, and press gently with the stylus.
If you need to frequently write documents, use the P910 keyboard (thumb-board) or other external keyboard.
I damaged my Palm V screen after 1 year and my Palm was never the same again. *shuif*

no need to download user's guide. Goto Application>Edit>Help>Handwriting Recognition. It's on your phone.
