What is Push Email, and haw does it work

for push mail you need a special server (like the blackberry enterprice server (BES) that is connected to a normal mail server (Lotus Notes/Exchange) and it "pushes" mail (via GPRS) to the device (blackberry). So as soon as someone sends you a mail, you will receive it (much like an sms). You don't need to see if you have new mail and download it (i.e. pull mail).

Another question on this........does agile messenger work instead of blackberry or do u HAVE to get blackberry and also does it cost firstly for the software and secondly per use? Finally how do u make the link as per what you said........my email account is orange.My phone is p800 until tomorrow when i shall get the p910.Thanks
