I have a P910i from Vodafone (UK) which isnt as such branded but does have Vodafone apps etc installed. Everyones telling me that the crappy old Vodafone startup and shutdown clips are there to stay and cant be changed. Would you all agree with this?

yes. While the P800 startup and shutdown screen can be changed, the P900 and P910 cannot as they are part of the firmware
