> Battery misery on k700

I have had my k700 for about a week and the batterys life seems SO SHORT!! I think I read somewhere that it had like 300 hours on stand by and talk time 4 hours....does ANYONE get it up to this or was there something wrong with my basttery when I bought the phone??

in short... k700 battery is not that great, but also not that bad.
if you are not a power user you can expect 2-3 days of standby time and that is normal like with most-today-color-BT-bla-bla phones. If you are using it a lot be happy if it goes for a day...

This has been discussed before, u have to charge ur phone for 10-12 hrs in initial stage, do it for atleast 5-6 times, u will see the difference :D

@figgebass - Good to have you here mate! That is but of a normal thing with the SE K700/i pal! Better upgrade your firmware from the stock R2A... to the R2L . . . , as they say here, the battery life will just improve by 30-40% . . . good luck dude!

Looks like that @figgebass is not fully aware of the K700/i's major flaw-poor battery life, before buying the unit, also with the latest firmware upgrade?

My phone dealre told me that the K700 is very sensitive to old 5 Volt simcards when I complained abput battery life. He then called my operator to check if I had the old 5V sim card or the new 3V sim card. I had the old 5V sim so he ordered a new one for me. Got it yesturday, so now I have R2L and a 3V simcard. Try to check if you have an old 5V simcard. So aparently it is your simcard that decides your phones powerconsumption to and not only the way you use it and what firmware tou have..
