I have a k700i and t68i w/c works on both phones. My question is can I also use the dss-20 cradle to transfer files to my gf's t230? I've done the search no such luck

There is no reason why it would not work. It is a combined data/service cable. Make sure that you set the COM port speed to 9600 when connecting to the T230.
