for the guys who got their S700s... i have a few questions regarding mine...
1) how many SMS can your inbox hold? after around 80 messages or so it said that my inbox was almost full and needed to be deleted! Is this for real? Is there ANY way this can be increased? like moving some messages to another folder or anything? Bcuz i think 80 messages is lousy...
2) Ringtones... how many did you get in your phone? for some weird reason mine didnt have alot? it says on the box 40? does that mean its supposed to come pre equipped what that many ringtones? If so what am i to do? reset phone or return it back?
3) Anyone got any software/themes etc suitable for s700 screens?
Other than this .. this is such a great phone...

-I never understand the obsession with storing 5million text messages!
-The icon on the box refers to the number of tones it can play in a MIDI tone at a time, but seein as it can play MP3s it doesn't really matter.
You can download as many tones and MP3s etc as you have free memory.

yeah im not asking for a million texts but come on dont you think 100 messages is a little pathetic for new phones? i mean come on at least 300 messages or something?
yeah regarding the ringtones i know you can put as much as you can in.. but how many 'built in' ones do you get?
oh btw.. thanx for the quick reply..

I suppose there is no reason for a limitatio on the number of texts but I wouldn't find it majorly irritating. The lack of personal message tones on the other hand really pisses me off!

I've not got an S700 but I know from many of my previous and current SE phones that they don't come with that many preset tones, perhaps 10.

40 chords of a midi can be played at a single time by your phone.. that is what that 40 means.... as meth said before...

thanx for all ur replies...
hmm i love everything bout this fone but this message thing is REALLY pissing me off! i used to have like 1400 texts on my 6600.. so its like a huge jump down....? so nothing can be done about it? would moving it to the 'saved messages' folder do any good?
yeah i got it bout the 40 midi thing.. makes much more sense now...

My God! 1400 messages!
Seriously, did you do anything with them? Surely it's not like you have a read through them when you're bored! It must be just a number thing, see how many you can get!

The P-Series are the ultimate for a limitless device so you could have thousands and thousands on one of those.
I do hate limitations myself, that's why I'm so looking forward to gettin my P905 back (P900 now with P910 firmware;-) ) even though I really like this K700.
