People, im quite new 2 da world of
but I'm glad that Ive found the perfect alternative to Nokia. Im currently searching through thousands of reviews about the K700 and S700, but bein indecisive as i am, i cant quite make up my mind, so feel free to put UR opinions of dese 2 phones.

I have them both and can give you objective opinions.
I can say that I don't think S700i deserves that heffy price tag it has.
Display is absolutely amazing, I can say it over and over. Built-in camera is the best one for GSM at the moment and expandable memory slot is finally there but then there is nothing more to say about S700i but if you really don't have an issue with money, don't hesitate to buy it because I think this one looks very unique and classy.

I have both, i'll try to give some points:
Points for K700
- Lighter by 30g
- Smaller and more pocketable
- Personally don't like texting with the K700 keypad
- Reasonable screen
- Poor battery life
- "networked" phones seems to be very restricted (get sim-free if poss)
- Online firmware updateable
Points for S700
- Expandable memory (for mp3 or video)
- Excellent (possibly best mobile) camera going
- Superb screen (256k 320x240 TFT)
- Danger of scratching screen (although claimed to be anti-scratch)
- Quite large for normal phone
- Large keypad for texting (although buttons slightly resessed) which some people don't like
- No online firmware updates YET
- Not quite so pocketable
- Heavy (but still lighter than Moto V600 i think, or at least if feels like it) and smaller and lighter than Px00's

The features in the S700i, like previous posters before me have mentioned, camera, expandeble memory, screen etc. all surpass those of the K700i. The camera is one of the best on the market (Which it should be as it's just a re-worked Cybershot
), and the screen is better than my P900's
The actual phone is nice aswell, My g/f wouldn't be getting it if it wasn't
I actually think the pricing of the S700i isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, don't forget that the phone does have a sony cybershot camera in it. Those digital cameras normally retail for around £340, now I don't know how much a 1.3 Megapixel one is as I haven't researched it but a 2.0 megapixel cybershot costs around £140.59. so the 1.3 could cost around £90-110. Add on that the screen/phone parts/production costs and take into account Sonys history of overpricing products and the S700i might be a fair price
Oh what the hell I think it's overpriced too

actually there are only 2 major differences in between the two phones. they are: S700i has the expandable memory while K700i doesn't have and the screen color resolution (S700i - 262K, K700i - 65K). in my opinion, that's the only diffs. hope this helps! =)
