> BMW's Bluetooth Motorcycle Helmet
Bookmark topic
BMW has developed and designed the System V motorcycle helmet with integrated Bluetooth. According to Bikes in the Fast Lane the helmet's wireless system includes "two virtually invisible Array microphones in the forehead area, a digital signal processor (DSP) to filter interference and wind noise, a Bluetooth module, two speakers and an integrated set of batteries."
BMW announced the System V helmet at this year's Intermot.

that rocks, but I hope it doesn't result in people trying to drive a motorcycle and talk on their cell phones ack! Now for music that would be so sweeet!

Here's something else which will go nicely with this helmet........
Motorcycle Airbag
Halo Labs is developing an airbag system for motorcyclists that fits inside a jacket and was kind enough to put three hypnotic, cringe-inducing, yet hilarious videos of their product tests online. I especially like the end of video one, where the cartoon man is launched over a car, tumbling and spinning, only to land in a mess of out-of-place legs, showing that even an airbag jacket isn't going to help you much when you're flipping thirty feet through the air (but at least your vital organs might make it out in one piece).
