Assuming you mean the memory stick, there is never a NEED to remove it, unless you want to.

One more thing, do u know how i can edit a mp3 (to cut the middle part of the song) so that my ringtone can begins where I cut it, rather than from the beginning

u could do the above (i havnt tried it) or u could convert the mp3 to wav n cut it using windows sound recorder n then convert the wav bac 2 mp3.it seems a bit tedious but it works so i guess its better than nothing,rite?;)
