i have a T610. i have downloaded the Airtel Live settings by sending an SMS to 646. then i contacted customer care and downloaded MMS settings sent by them. but still i can't send MMS messages to ne1 including myself. it shows Communication error. on checking i found that the arbitrary text i had put in the Messaging/Picture/Options/Message Server previously namely "airtel" had not changed even though i had downloaded the settings. it is expected that some server address needs to be put there. I am using an East UP Airtel connection. So what should be the Message Server. is anything else also needed?? kindly enlighten.
thanx.

Hi there. If you have just activated your gprs, you would have to wait for 24 hours for it to be fully operational. And you don't need to put in any settings manually. And do not get the settings from 646. Type MO for mobile office, FUN for Live and MMS for mms and send it to 501. Getting settings form 646 you are charged more.

hi,
yeah i have again downloaded the MMS settings by sending an SMS to 501 as u said. now i can see the new message server. it is exactly what u've written. am glad abt it. i set the WAP profile for picture msg sending to the AirTel MMS one as well.but still when i tried to send an MMS message to my mobile it said communication error. now is it due to a bad network or jus becoz 24 hrs have not passed as yet?
