Hi! Im using my old syncstation which was provided with my p800 (dss-20?) and trying to update my k700i-firmware, but the only thing that happens on the update-site is this text
"Please wait...
Checking the installation of Sony Ericsson Update Service"
And nothing more... Do I have the wrong syncstation or what? Is it dss-20 that come with the p800?

did you already install the dss-20 drivers?pc suite? If you can sync, then your dss-20's ok! did the service prompted you to download sesetup.exe (its the update service setup bout 11mb)

make sure all firewalls, antivirus, popup blockers are disabled.

Iīll try to disable some blockers... Problem is that iīm connected through a router with hardware firewall, but Iīll try to connect directly instead and see if that will help... I can browse the phone in explorer and everything seems ok, still itīs no response from the site.. Maybe with the changes above.. Anyone knows what syncstation came with the p800?

Hello again, I've actually used the dss-20 to update my k700 to r2l just waiting for the r2aa to be online.

Disable all your popup blockers before trying it again. I'm connected to linksys router by the way and my pc is wirelessly connected whenever I do the update or just surf the net for that matter.

I had the same problem this weekend after I just got home my new DSS-25. I called SonyEricsson support and they said that I didn't have the latest version of Java installed. I was told to go to the Java site and download the latest version. After the new Java installation, everything worked just fine. Reboot needed.
Here's the Java site .....
The download link is to the right, in the green section, called "Free Download".

I get the same problem when trying to browse the phone... The folders getīs there but i get the message "canīt connect, an unexpected error has occured". This didnīt happen before the installation of latest Java. Solutions?
