I've installed some software and the battery indicator shows completely empty. Removing the software makes no difference.
I wonder if this is a known problem and if there's a fix?

Now it's probably something I've done/not done. I'm just restoring the phone to the backup before I installed it. Hopefully that'll rectify the problem. If it does I'll re-install Sman to see if I get the same problem

Well a roll back sorted the battery icon out, re-installing Sman hasn't reproduced the problem.
