Many of the multi view images on my P910i appear to be very blurry while others are not, these are the same images on my P900 which look sharp and clear, so whats it all about! SE release a dolled up so called enhanced version of the P900 which still has several flaws, including a 262k colour screen that seems to have no more than the original P900's 65k screen!

Just sounds like a faulty one, take it back, no need to overreact

@Meth_spirit Ok then, but regarding the colour depth issue only, can any P910i owners actually see any significant difference between these two models screens? i have both phones and unless my P910i is infact faulty this models onscreen colour depth appears to be identical (except for the brightness level). i just cant see why you wouldn't be able to notice the inclusion of an extra 197,000 colours, this should be over 3x that of the P900 unless i am very mistaken.
i shall see whether or not a replacement P910i will prove me wrong!

I think there is not very much difference between the colors but when zooming in very close I beleive there is a huge difference. I did not upgrade because of the screen and was already happy with 65k with P900 but I got so much else with P910.

@BlackBauer24
The P910 screen is better, all the displayed items look more "solid" and sharper. I am very happy. Like the P800 to P900 development, if you look at one feature that can't justify the upgrade (for most people); its the package of upgrades that makes the move more worthwhile.

I'd like to see who can tell the difference between an 18-bit and 24-bit screen as well.
The number of colors that a 16-bit and an 18-bit screen differ in hue and shade... it's not an entirely new color ya know... the number gradations from black to the pure color are counted as well. The levels of gray...etc...etc.
The P910 screen can show more 'defects' in a photo than the P800 or P900 can.
Just the same way a computer screen can show the limited color range of a regular video signal over watching it on a TV. A DVD movie looks a lot blockier on a computer monitor than on a regular TV since a computer monitor can show more colors, thus show more detail and defects as well.
Same goes for the P910... if photos don't look as good, it's because now, the screen is capable of showing the smaller color defects that the P900 couldn't.
If you transfer a photo from a digicam to both the P900 and P910, you'll see that the P910 shows more color detail in a side by side comparison... the photos look more vibrant, and more depth is shown. This is due to the increased contrast levels that the P910 can show.

You will probably have a hard time seeing the difference between a 65k colours screen and a 262k screen.. In a normal photo 65k colours is generally enough.. Although if you have fades of one colour you should be able to see it... If you put your normal computer in 16bit mode (65k colours) and then in 24bit.. you will generally not see much of a difference if any at all.. and the difference between 65k and 262k is even smaller, hardly noticeable at best

According the the P910i white paper, although the screen supports 262k colours they are only used by the Picture application when viewing images full screen. Indeed it says
The Pictures applications uses 262 thousand colours in its full screen mode. In all other cases 65 thousand colours are used. Images having more colours than used by the application will be adjusted to display optimally withing the capabilities of the P910i screen

Itīs the resolution which make the biggest difference in viewing. like the guys before me have said, try to change from 16-bit to 32-bit on your computer screen and see if you notice a big difference.
