Hi altogether

I just configured my email options for mi Ericsson T68i. It works quite fine. The only problem is that when I send&receive my emails the phone automatically closes the GPRS connection after sending&receiving the emails. I want that the phone keeps connected, is that possible? is there any configuration point? I wasn't able to find something like that.
my problem is, that I pay a small amout for each connection and not just for the received data. so if it would be possible to send&receive and read the emails without closing the connection between these two things, it would be quite cheaper for me.

have you got any ideas?

thanks for your answer, this solution sounds very possible, but how do I open a GPRS connection without sending any data? i'm sorry but i'm a total newbie in the GPRS things
