Hello all,

I know that this has been asked before, but even after several searches thru the archives, I've not been able to get this working. This is what I've done so far:

1. Installed both VNC clients from my-symbian.
2. Installed tightVNC on my desktop PC at home.
3. Enabled loopback connection.
4. Paired my P910i with my desktop pc.

At this point, I attempt to use VNC client to connect to my PC, using the IP address the VNC server has detected. The P910i then asks me which internet account to use for this connection - however, I wish to esatblish the connection over bluetooth!

Is there a step I am missing? Is there a way of forcing the VNC client to attempt to connect over bluettoth? Has anyone got this working yet?

Many thanks for any advice,

Fudgeboy.

Thank you!!! That did the trick!

Just for the records, if anyone else is searching on this topic, I struggled to get the bluetooth serial connection going.

I was receiving a "remote device closed the connection" error message. After searching thru the archives, I found that this is a normal thing, caused by the phone disconnecting the serial connection and then "ringing back" the PC to re-establish it.

Even ignoring this, I found I still couldn't use VNC until I put the phone in the cradle, double-clicked the "phone connection link" icon in the task tray, and ticked all of the bluetooth-related services that appeared.

So now it all works! Thanks again for the help, and hopefully this post will help others who may struggle in the future!

the only trouble is, you can't initiate a serial bluetooth connection from the phone to the pc, it has to be from the pc to the phone. Which is gay. Gay gay gay. The K700i can do it! Why the hell can't the P900/P910?!?!
