of course you can't play DVDs directly but there are plenty of ways to convert a DVD to MP4 or 3GP which the K700 can play
take a look at
Bengalboy's Bible "How to rip & encode DVD's for playback on your K700/S700/ & P900"

So, it's possible then ! The only problem now is the file size of the video (DVD format), as it can accomodate only 41Mb of space . . .

You need to lower the frame rate and the size on the video to be able to play it so the size will be reduced alot. But I don't think you will be able to have the whole movie. Need to split it in several parts.

converting a widescreen 5.1 DTS film to screen the size of a postage stamp.
The only problem is the screen goes off after 10mins with no FF or rewind.

yep, would be a real pain watching a whole DVD with no FF or rewind. Can't see why anyone would want anything longer than 5mins long.

I agree here mate! Just like that of the video clips that I've downloaded (adult) then, wherein it can be played in parts, say, 20-30 secs. each . . .
