Currently, I have a P900 (with AT&T service) and use Mobile High Speed (an AWESOME little program from the people at novamedia.de) to connect to the internet via GPRS. While this works just fine, GPRS is quite slow. Since Mobile High Speed supports EDGE connections, I was wondering if it's possible to get my G4 PowerBook to connect to the Z500. If I can find a way to do it, I will get one when they come out later this year. Unfortunately, the Z500 doesn't have Bluetooth which my P900 uses to connect to my Mac. There IS the DCU-11 USB cable, but it doesn't work with the Mac. Is there ANY way for me to get EDGE with the Z500 on my Mac? I mean, I guess I could buy a Nokia 6820 which has Bluetooth and EDGE, but I'd prefer the Z500.

Thanks for your suggestions,

Tom

The following post my help get the DCU-10/11 working on your Mac:

The link to download the PL-2303 driver in that post has expired so here's another couple:

I haven't tested this, so have no idea whether it actually works.

Thanks, JoolsG4--sounds promising. It would have so much more convenient if they just added Bluetooth to the Z500--but no, that would make things too easy for us Mac users. =)
