> P910i 'features'

Dear All, In this topic I want everyone to discuss things which we don't like in P910i. I have upgraded from T68i to P910i so I will be comparing with that. I realise that some of you might be using P800 or P900 earlier and may not find these things irritating. I will start with two:
1. Can someone tell me why the phone keypad in P910i gets unlocked when charging! It appears too clever to be a bug...so I am inclined to think that this is a feature but why???
2. T68i had a very good feature of showing time when the phone is not in use. Having used it for 2 years, I got so used to that that I stopped wearing wrist watch! But now it looks like its time to go back in time and start using the traditional way of timekeeping! It is really annoying to not have that 'capability' in P910i. I understand that it might be due to 'power management' but would that really be that much heavy on battery!!!

1. this is a feature and I guess the answer here is that if you are charging then the phone is probably not in a situation where the keys will be accidentally pressed and therefore the keypad does not need to be locked.
2. you might need to spend a bit more time with the manual
Control Panel - Display - Power tab - change Power save from blank to Clock - K700 and other newer phones don't display the clock by default either and yu have to go to similar options to enable it

@popli
in response to your 2 problems;
1) The keypad is unlocked while charging so as to allow those using car kits, to not have to unlock the keypad every time they want to make a call (if not using BT headset of course)
2) The clock is on the P9xx - it's in control panel, display, power, change power save to 'clock', click done.
hope this helps!
Things I still can't get over with the P9xx are;
1) not having the ability to have SMS Delivery Reports permanently on
2) no phone conversation recording
3) not being able to add more than one SMS recipient in Flip Closed mode

agree with all of the above, my complaint is maybe more of a general one but as I have no experience of other smart phones and have just recently aquired a P900 moving from a Nokia 7250 I guess some of this might be more general.
1. Cookies not being stored long enough, means I have to go through the site login proceedure which uses up my free data limit and takes ages to navigate.
2. might be browser related (opera), i would like to add bookmarks without actually visiting a website, there doesn't seem to be and method to do this. I can sort of do it with the default browser using SMAN "duplicate file" in the bookmark folder then I can edit the bookmark copies to what i want, OPERA doesn't seem to have a bookmark folder so it doesn't work for it.
3.The Windows file system is not completely compatible, if you create files and folders on an MS using a reader, they may not be accessable on the P9XX, you need to create the folders first using the phone, then just copy the file to the created folders.
4. The alarm clock rings loud first then gets softer, might be a setting for this but i can't find it.
5. I have a picture of a tube map that i would like to use intead of these dedicated programs that are not free, the viewer doesn't zoom in far enough to see detail, 3rd party viewers run out of memory, I have tried resampling the picture but lager or smaller different format etc it is still no good.
6. I would like to see the contents of SIS files.
7. I would like to be able to read *.txt files by default.
8. I would like to be able to uninstall default applications if i don't use them.
9. I would like to do selective backup and restore (big one)
I'm sure there are a lot more.

Ok, I also changed my t68i to p900 recently and found few things missing, so I want to know are these solved on p910
1.
I haven't found the way to add reminder to calendar to call somebody directly from phonebook. On p900 I have to write in calendar reminder call to John and when it rings I have to find John in phonebook to make a call. On t68i it was easy add reminder and just press call (Ok) when it reminds.
2.
I haven't found the way how to export call log from p900 to xcel for example. SAD!
3.
I haven't found the way to configure p900 to leave e-mail messages on the pop server (t68i had this feature)
Otherwise apart from no having support for Baltic languages (8 million market one encoding - no support from SE grrr) and that Opera crashes when opening important to me page
https://ibanka.unibanka.lv/ipc/index.jsp
(built in browser doesn't support javascript at all) P900 is really great working tool.
P910 users, can you open that page?

@gjgjgj
Maybe it's because it's a HTTPS page (not HTTP).

Thanks for letting me know about the clock option....Its much better now :) However, one more annoying thing...You can't delete a missed call in flip closed mode. You have to open the flip for that!

What about call list size? A friend of mine is using a Qtek and I was surprised for itīs capabilities!! I am not seeing any of these in SE P910i:
1. Call list log since April (I guess heīs not a heavy user, but usually SE phones can only log 30 calls);
2. Ability to record calls (my old T68i can also rec calls).
Can anyone confirm....!!?

P910i cannot record call conversations.
There is still no auto bluetooth function which was available in the P800, this means thumbling through settings to switch BT on/off if using BT headset.
Unable to resize pictures before sending via MMS the P900 always gave you the option to do this, on the P910i all it says is image maybe too large for recipients phone do you want to continue.
still unable to play videos or view pictures in flipclosed mode unless taking a picture with cam.
