Did you install them on the Duo as you should? If so try removing it to see if the phone will start without it.
If you have filled up the internal memory you may have a problem. It needs a certain amount of free space to boot up properly

15mb is plenty so lack of memory is not the problem.
Try turning it off and removing the battery for a few minutes, sometimes just powering off and on doesn't properly reset a phone

I had my p900 doing the same thing, but for another reason. Needed to be reflashed.
Try first 10 second hold of On/Off button to shut down then on again.
Try second take battery out for 2 min.
Try third online update and if necessary online recovery mode.
Last resort send off to have it reflashed.

I tried removing the battery for more than 5 mintues.. and tried also the turn off by holding the button for 10 seconds nothing worked.. there seems to be a trick by using the jog dial for the p800 but cant find it for p910! how can I use the online recovery? I went and tried to search for an online update but nothing was there on the SE site

This happened to me, I restarted my p910 one day and it just stuck at the SE logo. I had to obtain a new handset. Ive seen a couple of other users with this issue as well.
I dont think you can do the online reflash because there isnt anything to reflash with yet.
Perhaps a delaer could reset it for you?

@msa
That "trick" only reveals a hidden menu, which you can only obtain when the phone is powered on properly and wouldn't be of any use to you anyway. If you have tried the soft reset, battery removal and online recovery (if this is possible yet?) then you should stop wasting time and take it to a Service Centre 'cos it's screwed!

I've noticed that when I open the flip at the point of the phone changing from flip open mode to flip closed I can see the applications but they dissappear!
