"An updated version of Zi's embedded eZiTap predictive text software is now available as a download to the Sony Ericsson Smart Phones.

The eZiTap FEP serves as a front end processor to offer predictive text entry through the phone's virtual keyboard. A key advantage over other predictive text systems is that the suggested text does not overwrite the word entry but instead offers a choice of several suggested words the user can choose from.

The new version 2 of the eZiTap Front End Processor (FEP) is offered in 8 European languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian, and works on the Sony Ericsson P800 and P900 series of smart phones.

An updated version of Zi's embedded eZiTap predictive text software is now available as a download to the Sony Ericsson Smart Phones.

The eZiTap FEP serves as a front end processor to offer predictive text entry through the phone's virtual keyboard. A key advantage over other predictive text systems is that the suggested text does not overwrite the word entry but instead offers a choice of several suggested words the user can choose from.

It includes several features added due to popular demand such as French and German language capabilities in addition to English (with Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian available in coming weeks), dual language messaging, next word prediction and "smarter" punctuation that predicts contractions and other punctuation as text entry occurs.

The download uses 386K (and includes English) with each additional language is 40-90K each depending on the language.

The original downloadable eZiTap FEP was recently named "Best Productivity Application" for the Symbian OS™ (Operating System) by Handango in the 2004 Handango Champion Awards.

Free Download
Until 15th October, a fully registered end-user license of the downloadable vesion of the eZiTap™ FEP for English text entry on the Sony Ericsson P800 & P900 handsets is available FREE. appologies, I understood from your first post that the code that did not work was the "promotional code" to get the full discount.

now I have downloaded it and installed it I find also that the supplied "registration key" does not work.

I guess an email to the support people should fix that since this seems to be fairly official and legitimate

I'll post here how that goes

Is that on a P900 or P910? your avatar suggests P900 so I wonder if this registration key problem is just on the P910...

so I guess the problem is just a P910 thing then

I emailed support so hopefully they should reply. I also ordered it a second time and double double checked I entered my IMEI correctly but it came up with the same registration key so I guess I got it right first time.

never tried this app before, looks pretty good actually though I doubt I would ever have paid $20 for it but its certainly worth $10 and defintily worth $0
