People I have a P900 which i have had for about 6 months and have been so far very happy with!
I have had an offer from my provider of a brand spanking generic 910 for the princely sum of £70 and wondered if it was really worth it?
Other than the qwerty keyboard which does look small and fiddley is there ne thing more that the 910 can do (which is of use!) that the P900 cannot?
I must say that every time i look there is something new to add to my 900 which just amazes me!
So come on people
yes or no?
Pros and cons?
Wrongs and rights?
Do's and don't?
Cheers Ta Mr Dogstar

P910i has some very good features for example the duo pro support for upto 1GB of memory, but dont expect to be blown away by its so called 262,000 colour screen coz it aint that great, apparently it only displays 262,000 colours when viewing fullscreen images otherwise same 65,000 colours as P900, and like you already said the Qwerty keypad is just a crap add on. @dogstar

Mate,

there are a million and one (well maybe not quite that many ) posts on the subject already. Do a quick search and you'll find the opinions of the masses.

But, basically, it's not much of an upgrade, unless you're a real phone geek/enthusiast, which before the flamers start, I class myself as!

For 70 quid, I would (in fact I did for 100), but all you really gain is more storage space (both internal and external) and the keyboard. The rest is minor tweaks (a screen that is better but barely noticeably) and some preloaded apps that have worked out are some of the ones crucial to add key functionality to the phone (e.g. QuickOffice).

Some people (obviously weirdos ) have even reported that they prefer the 900 and think the 910i is "slow".

Which one - you decide?!

Orange offered me one for £5 (no I'm not joking) but I decided against it and stuck with my existing P900. Why? The software I've already bought.

I must have spent over £150 so far on 3rd party applications - No way am I buying that lot again just to get them working on a new IMEI

I instead got a free K700 and gave that to my brother (he wanted). With hindsight I should have got the P910 anyway...

Pain really!

You could also consider the P905!
By that I mean gettin the P910 firmware put on you P900. That's what I'm doing.
That way you get all the new apps etc and Duo Pro support and just lord out on the keyboard and marginally better screen

@guy

All you need to do is email the companies concerned for a new license key! For a fiver, mate, you gotta have it!

Seriously, I starting sending the emails last night, and got my first response back this morning (for Traffic-i)

Do it!

And the P910 has faster on-board RAM (at least I've noticed faster app loading with Appforge apps over my P800 and my friend's P900)
