I work as a landscape gardener, and I use my phone a lot at work. ,Im alearly always working with sand and cement, and my pockets get quite a lot in them !
My T610 screen was almost unuseable , after 6 months of this treatment, but, so far, after 3 weeks of similar treatment, no scratches on my S700 screen !
I think its pretty scratch resistant, myself!

Well, if you're really going to be cautious about the scratch-proofness, i think you should be better off buying a screen protector for the phone, just in case. No phone's own screen could be virtually unscratchable.
It'll probably just going to set you back around 8 - 10 dollars or less for a nice screen protector from Brando or some manufacturer.

Just get a Martin Fields screen protector to protect your screen. It's only 9 bucks. They've it available for the S700i and you can order it from their website,
