My steps to achieve a better listening experience with my P910i - since the p910i supports MS DUO PRO, it's finally possible to store enough music in the phone...
1. Replace the headphones. The supplied SE set is really useless for music (I got an adapter from pc-mobile.net and use the same phones I do for all other listening, and it is much better than the supplied ones for phone calls as well).
2. Get a large memory stick - I haven't seen anything bigger than 512MB on the market, but that lasts a while (and is not very expensive).
3. Replace the built in media player with something like Unreal Player (especially if you use the headset, since the built in player won't resume playing after a phone call). It also looks nicer...
Before you flame me for posting obvious stuff, I'd like to point out that it might not be obvious to anyone (at least it was not to me)

Do you mean that you can take phone calls with the another stereo headsets. I'm having hard time finding a real nice stereo headsets which also has a mike on the wire so you can also use the same for calls. Which one do you use for this purpose? I realy don't like the earbud kind and much prefer the one that rest over your ears, but could not find one so far. I'm tempting to modifiy the factory one that came with the phone, thinking of cutting the wires just before the earbuds and reconnect to some realy nice strereo sets. Any inputs on this will be much appreciated.

1). Buy i-Pod
2). ???
3). Profit!
sorry for being sort of redundant on this theme, but really, the way I see it, the mp3 gizmo on P9x0 is useful for putting your "ringtones" and little else.

I agree... as a dedicated mp3 player.. the solid state players are pathetic compared to the iPod (they cost more as well for much less storage)
But for people like me, who has his mp3 collection on his PC... an mp3 player in the car... and a duplicate collection on his PC at work... I don't need 40GB of music to take me from my house to my car... and from my car to my office.
So for taking a jog around the block for an hour or so... 128MB worth of mp3s is more than enough... that gives me a little over an hour with my bitrate settings.
The headset included sucks.. I don't think it's even a Sony headset. Buy the cable adapter (it's a 2.5mm stereo plug with a mic and a 3.5mm jack on the end..so you can use any commercially available headset you like) and get a pair of decent headphones. I prefer Shure's sound isolating earplugs. It allows you to listen to your music at lower volumes while blocking external noise.
But if you keep all your music in one spot... and like to have it always at hand... buy an iPod. It's God's gift to portable music!!!!

everybody is complaining in here about the sound quality of the se headset. i don't know if i'm the only one here who is quite satisfied with them. of course they're nothing compared with my big sennheisers but for listening on the move (with all the noise of the london traffic) they're doing pretty good. or i'm just the lucky one who got one of the best pairs

@vladichelsea
Try the Sony EX71SLB with the Unrealplayer and OGG files encoded at 128bps - the sound quality is truely fantastic. For this is a good option as I listen to music when stuck in hotel rooms on business but the quality is still obvious even when travelling on trains.

jah i was thinking of getting those earbuds. my girlfriend bought me MDR-V700 headphones though for DJing....those spoiled me bad!
but i use oggplay encoded at stereo 64kbs and the quality, for listening on the train on the way to school, is fine for me. don't have enough $$$ for an ipod and love using my p900.
