hey ppl im just curious, is SE also going towards the same marketing scheme as nokia, ive been a big nokia fan and user for 8 years, i know they have the same shape n all... but they make too many phones with same spec.. i know u all know that.. the only company which i though was equally good was SE, because i like their new innovative fone models, but the thing is i got a P900 , boom here comes P910.. wats the difference a keyboard, color screen.. total rip off my P900, so instead of going the same fone again i opted for K700, BOOM S700 is out WTF... seriously that pisses me off, i have tried to think y SE wud do that only 2 reasons come to my mind

(i) either the SE team is so hard working that every fone they make, they sit in some big meeting room and try to think hard wat shud make it even more better...
(ii) or they smile wen ppl buy the fone which they produce first, and with 6 months come up with minor changes in it WHICH they cud have done in the first place.. to get those customers who didnt buy it in the first place and SE hopes that those who did bought it wud try to upgrade ... thats cheap marketing

i mean for real the keyboard for P910 its detachble for god sake, make one for P900 so those who bought P900 wud remain loyal n happy, i used nokia Communicator for 3 years.. now the next version is coming 9300 and 9500. which means i fully utilized the first version, and will buy the next one.
for K700 they shud have the memory card slot built in the first time.. they knew they cud do it.. but didn't.

i dont know after buying 2 of the most expensive fones available on SE i feel cheated.. i think its time to move to samsung (D500).. i just cant go to Motorolla (they dont know how to make fones)...i like SE fones specially P900 wow.. i dont know ppl wat u think....

You are not forced to buy anything!!

The K700 and S700 are suitably different in both design and features to make them aimed at different markets.
The P910 is simply an upgrade but at least it is named so unlike Mokia's random garbage sequence of naming identical phones with totally different numbers

Technology moves on, new phones are released constantly. Its the same in any technological industry, look at pc's! The thing is, if you wait for the newer, better model thats out in a couple of months you will never buy anything! Nokia release models with virtually no improvements, at least make a reasonable attempt at keeping their updates as advanced as possible. As for your comment on k700/s700, i assume you mean camera, well 1.3 mp cameras in a phone simply weren't feasible when the k700 was launched. Remember its been around for a while now!

And take a look at nokias "new" phone here., the (alleged) 6230 upgrade. Is this an improvement? Then take another look at p900/p910, where there are real, tangible differences:

1.3 mp cameras were available when the k700 was released sharp had one out and the s700 is just that japenese phone thats been out ages with a european shell (forget the model number)
as for se turning into nokia i guess nokia are a huge huge company and as such se probably cant help but be influence by them as they will aspire to be leaders in the field

marlonxp your quite right but what about t610-t630 p900-p910
if i know any samsung models i could probably find the same there same with motorla they all do it
guess they call it different phones for different sectors i am sure nescafe gold blend isnt much different to ordinary nescafe and frosties are just corn flakes with icing sugar on and everytime we get a new and imroved washing power for more money i bet its just about the same
all minor upgrades but i bet we all still buy them

As i said before though, at least T610>T630 and P900>P910 are logical number progressions and there is on attempt to make them appear unrelated like Mokia 7210>6610 for example! Then look at Mokia numbers which are totally unrelated phones 6600>6610 WTF!

no ppl question is not Nokia isn't bad, ive told u ive been there..the point is now SE is getting popular, they just increased their market share by 7%... and there marketing scheme is also getting like nokia's which is wrong. So all the stuff SE ppl stay abt nokia that they have same models out... no difference in style.. someday samsung or some other company users will start saying this shitt to SE. I like SE phones.. especially p900, and any p900 user who bought it on full price.. will confirm that it really pisses u off wen a newer model comes with a keyboard.. although SE cud have easily made it as an ADD ON to P900 .. its detachable man.. need i say more.. anyways i dont like direction they are heading too.. i know tech is advancing but give me break... nothing changes with 4-6 months these companies know in advance wat they are gonna market in wat region atleast a year or two before they do it..

Think now a days the brands copy each others instead of focusing on own ideas according design and features, in the first one nokia touch the limit of madness as i see. This message was posted from a T68i

I don't quite agree with you here.
Sony Ericsson and Nokia sticks out from the crowd? in terms of design. Nokia produce mobile phones with magnificent ugliness while Sony Ericsson has a lot of unique looking handsets with retro design or futureristic design. Actually I think all companies have their own very special designs but none of them is as bad as Nokia's and thank god for that.
