hi im asking has anyone tried plugging in the handsfree set and out each day for extended periods of time? till that spoil the connections? im asking this because when i'm out i will use the handsfree to listen to mp3, while i get home i need to pull out the handsfree to hear it ringing... or is there any programs that make the speakerphone ring while handsfree is on?

Ericsson loves making life difficult. If only they could make their phones as sensible and user friendly as Nokia. I'm seriously consiedring changing my P910i to a Nokia 9500 because of this and other annoyances.

I'd never change my P910i for the 9500... I wouldn't even change my old P800 for the 9500... **shudder**

regarding the handsfree jack... even with daily use, it should last a year or so. if ever you start hearing crackling, just wipe the headphone plug with a little WD40, and that should be fine.

I've actually noticed that jacks last longer, the more you use them. Just don't yank the cord to unplug it.
