> P910i IMEI identity crisis!
Bookmark topic
Hi All,
Don't know if anyone else has noticed this but my P910i (upgraded from Orange over the phone) thinks it has two IMEIs! The one on the box, and revealed with *#06# is 354xxxxxxxxxxxx, and one identified by various apps (the eZItap keyboard/Tracker 4.03 etc) is 147xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, which is too long and like no IMEI I've ever seen. So far, I have been unable to use the registration codes provided by zicorp and Symbianware for the first IMEI, and am waiting on a response to codes for the second but I can't see how they can generate codes for IMEIs with 18 digits!
Anyone else in this boat, or can anyone shed any light?

Actually, never mind why, I guess it serves no purpose so I've hidden it.

I am getting a similar problem with a vodafone p910i, although it says the same on the box as in *#06# and *up*downdown*down* apps that I have registered the IMEI with do not like it and keep coming up with Wrong Code, no matter who I get in tough with.
And yes I know you leave out the '-' and the last 2 digits any ideas guys as I have bought unreal player and it refuses both the codes they have sent me

@irfan et al
I have received a second reg code from ZIcorp for the weird IMEI generaterd by the software. This, bizarrely, works perfectly and my copy is now registered. Still awaiting response from Symbianware re: Tracker. All Orange P910i users should be aware - for some reason we obviously all have the same issue!

It looks like it is not just Orange or Vodafone. My O2 P910i is the same. Had to get EZi to issue a second code to cope with odd IMEI. Even though I entered the very same IMEI at order time on Handango. They reacted very quickly and effieciently and I can only hope the other vendors you have ordered software from provide the same level of service. Good luck

I have the same issue, have checked the IMEI on the box and under the battery and also by doing *#06#, all are the same, but ALL software i have downloaded and installed lists a different IMEI of the format you describe.
I have mailed support on all the software vendors and have received new codes that work, just waiting for one.

dave, as it seems the orig key they issue is in my opinion not unique because i tried ordering twice and they sent me the same key is it at all possible the extra one they issued you is also NOT unique? in which case it would work for me too?
