I don't have an S700, but it doesn't have a touch screen, does it? So no virtual keyboard, no physical keyboard .... the only way to enter text is through the number keys.

I have a P900 and would like the improved camera on the S700, but don't want to give up the ease of text input on the P900.

Is there something like the S700 but with a touchscreen and/or full keyboard?

Nope... you're mistaking the s700 with the newer p910. Ths s700 is more of a 'regular' phone than the PDA-esque features of the p900 or is newer p910 sibling.

check out the Motorola e680 - there is a review of it on howard forums. Has megapixel cam, touch screen, larger mem capability than s700 (aswell as full screen vids!) and smartphone/PDA functionality. Not sure when its out though.

doesnt have megapixel camera - but only standard VGA cam - so if the object was to get a phone with a better camera - then this is not it.

@therealspawn - oops, yes youre right, VGA not megapixel.

heres the url of the review http://www.howardforums.com/s[....]463063&perpage=15&pagenumber=1

seems to be very good quality pics though (of course not as good as s700)

yes - especially the last photoexample looked like good quality.

In general for the multimediafreak - I think this phone looks very interesting indeed. It definately got my attention.

I think the large lens helps contribute to the photo quality, and I like that it has a lens cover to keep it clean and unscratched.

Maybe they will add these features to the next P900-type phone, too.

Please explain the constant complaining about the camera quality of the current phones. Sure it is nice to have a camera with the phone, but if I want to take photos in the megapixel range I whip out either my Sony P10 or my Nikon 5700 Coolpix and take my photos. Yes there is MMS but this is limited by the operators as well as sometimes the receiving phone, but the bottom line is that phones are generally used to make telephone calls, not to take pictures. There was a thread posted here a month or so ago mentioning the reason for not having a gazillion pixel phone. It is factual and good reading. Some, not all, of you "why isn't the camera better" complainers could start there and have your questions answered.

Chill out. If I want a cell phone with a 1.3M camera and a compass and a Zippo lighter, it won't affect you at all. No reason to let it upset you.
