I have one dead pixel when my s700i is in camera mode only. If i take a picture which is quiet dark and view it, the dead pixel is gone.

It is only there in camera mode when i am about to take a picture.

Any one else got this problem?

I can't see a dead pixel on mine.

Is it distinctly visible?

Have you tried cleaning the camera lens?

bring it back asap, we had here problems with nokia 6600. as my service friend informed me, if one pixel is dead, sooner or later more will die, a kind of chain reaction. it could be manufacture faulty, so ask for a replacement. good luck

This is probably a silly question, but is this dead pixel in the centre of a bright light, e.g. taking a picture with the sun in it? If so, then the camera 'blacks' out the centre of the sun as it's too bright for the camera to contend with. If this is what's causing this dead pixel, then it is nothing to worry about, most cameras/camera phones do this (including my K700i)

A dead pixel can be seen only if the background is dark, at bright colours just hardly. This message was posted from a T68i

i think bobafett is right
dead pixel on lcd of a camera can easier be seen in dark bg instead of bright
someone told that to check if there is dead pixels on lcd on a camera is to cover the lens so that the screen is pitch black
