> P910i startup.mp4 file
Bookmark topic
I cant see any items on this specific item in this list for the P910i (loads for 800 though)....
My P910i is a Vodafone UK item, has the "startup.MP4" and "shutdown.MP4" and a POPCORN.WAV in the A:\SYSDATA folder. I have heard if i just delete these files the SE defualt version work. I have also heard if a file with sound is loaded the phone locks up needing hardware reset. soooooo
I want to remove the VODAFONE startup which i bet is just rename / delete these files, i cant though, there READONLY, i am using FILEMAN and they are not listed as READONLY on checking so has anyone managed to rename them or even remove them on a P910i with out screwing the phone.
Also if i do rename will the SE defualt version appear at startup and shutdown.
(While i'm on the subject the new "BRAND" menus that appear in the phone from your suppliers are no phone embeeded, they appear from the SIM card, got a SE T68i that vodafone squirted an update out via SMS which put these in, i have them removed. I bet you cant do that now though. Just incase anyone wondered.

The A and Z drives are ROM drives (Read Only Memory) and hence cannot be edited in an way.
The trick to change the vids only works for the P800.
You would need to get the phone flashed with unbranded firmware to get the original SE ones

I was afraid of that, many thanks. There are no firmware available yet is there? I am also correct in saying the SE now check IMEI for BRANDED and not the software version so it will be a once over thing anyway?

Perhaps some people could perform the upgrgade for you, in the same was as a Voda branded K700 can be flashed with SE f/w
