I transfered a video from my pc, i converted it into 3gpp and i thought id make it bigger by making it 704x576. when i played it the phone faded out and started vibrating!
I had to take the battery out and restart

It just sounds like the 3GPP decoder on the phone, can't handle such high resolutions.

Not that surprising really.
Its only a phone, with a 133mhz processor and a 240x320 screen - its not a P4 Hyperthreading pc with 1gb ram and a ATI X800 graphics adaptor
Officially it should only play video at 176x144 resolution - Im very surprised it even started playing the video at that resolution.
I would hardly call it a bug - that it cannot play 704x576 resolution videos
