LG Electronics’ success in developing terrestrial DMB phone is expected to stir competition in the market.
At the moment,
LG is gaining advantage over its rival, Samsung, with its success in terrestrial DMB phone . Although LG lagged behind Samsung in introducing satellite DMB phone, it caught up with Samsung by developing terrestrial DMB phone earlier than its competitor.
Samsung, the world’s third largest handset maker, is working on a combined DMB phone that receives both satellite and terrestrial DMB by the end of next year. LG also aims to introduce the versatile chip and mobile phone in 2005.

My God. I have a hard enough time putting my mobile down as it is. Now I will have to have it surgically removed. Is that like PPV for your phone?
