Hey..
Using a P800 one of the things i miss from my t610 is the ability to "leave messages on server" of the email client.
The first time i used P800's email client i killed my whole inbox (in which i had some pretty important messages)

Does the P910 have this feature ?
Is there any 3rd party software that solves this ?

thanx

@agemo

The P910 POP3 s/w only copies emails to the P910 but deletions are applied to server account. With the very large user memory of the P910 you probably do not need to delete emails. I remember my P800 having the same functionality.

The email client on all P-series phones does NOT delete mail from your mailbox, unless you delete it on your phone (the phone will instruct the server to delete the messages you deleted on your phone)

the only way I know that something like that would happen is if your email server is an IMAP, and you check email using POP3... it screws up your mail server and could delete your messages.

Does the P910 email client display emails in HTML or only text like the P800?

Thanks

Is there any way to set the email client NOT to delete the messages on the server, when deleting them from the phone ?

Are there any 3rd party email clients with more features ?

The P910 has the ability to delete email on the phone "local delete" or off the server "delete message". You may delete the content (body and attachments) of the message, but you must leave the headers on the phone, or you will lose the email on your server. Only tested using Vodafone UK settings for "SMTP" and my own "POP3" settings.
