Hi, i've just got a new K500i. Its got great reception, speedy interface but noticed 2 issues. Battery lasts only thru the day (with heavy usage though) but my T610 had better battery life. and secondly the phone just switches off by itself while im browsing thru wap/gprs.
anyone noticed these bugs or face other problems?
Firmware version is R2L001

The battery issue will propably dissapear, my Z600's battery went down pretty fast after I bought it but now It can last about a week.
So I think my K500 will get better.
Another bug is that when I play around with the camera it can freeze.

I have an F500i with firmware version R2E011. Just like your K500, my F500i mysteriously switches off two or three times a day when accessing the mobile Internet (WAP)... I've also noticed that I only get about a day of use between charges (day-time only), but that is with VERY heavy mobile Internet (WAP) access so it's understandable. Every couple of hours, two particular icons disappear from my desktop and only reappear (temporarily) when I hover over the location where they would normally be.

When the two icons disappear (see above), my mobile Internet (WAP) access also plays up and my browser refuses to load anything. A restart fixes both the disappearing icons and the mobile Internet (WAP)-not-loading issue. The F500i has only just been released in Australia and most stores still don't even have it (the only reason I got it so early is because I work for vodafone), so the firmware on my handset's gotta be a pretty early version which would explain a lot...

You say that the battery on your T610 lasts longer... Of course the battery lasts longer, the T610's battery has a talk-time of up to a phenomanol 14 hours (as opposed to the F500/K500's maximum talk-time of 8 hours)!

hi, yes i got the k500i 2 weeks ago and i have noticed it suddenly switches off for no reason!

but its something i can cope with, has anyone noticed how much recording time the video has? well i was amazed that after 10mins and 20seconds it was still recording!

thats what i call value for money, especially when you have nokia advertising the 7610 with 10mins recording time and they think its something new! sony comes out on top again!
