Has any1 started to experience a bad case of static when the headphone is connected to its socket. Slight movement/ attempt to adjust its postion causes this static type interference and I get complaints from callers sayin that it sounds like im crunching crisp packets down the phone.

Could the socket have dust down its hole....Can this be cleaned/resolved.

I just noticed this on my P910 when listening to some music today. I am going to try another set of headphones as I don't know whether its the socket or headphones at fault.

It's more likely to be the headphone lead itself, probably the screen (0v) wise is damaged inside, more than likely near the jack plug from pulling on the lead when removing it. You can fix it if your a practical type using a soldering iron and a DMM. Probably better off buying new headphones, i doubt the socket itself would be damaged. This message was posted from a T610
