I stumbled onto a way that has consistently worked for me to get my P900 to sync or connect to my PC via the cradle. There have been numerous posts concerning this problem... well here is the answer.

1) Make sure that the connection settings in the control panel under cable are the same for both the PC and P900 ... it should be 115200 and the other settings must match as well. On the P900 and I assume the P910, the last setting is Flow control... select none and select none for the PC setting as well.

2) Place your device in the cradle and attempt to connect. If you connect great but if your device gets stuck trying to connect, take your device out of the cradle, right click on the connection icon on the bottom right of you PC screen (the sgwiggly line) go to properties and de-click the the cable setting. This will force the PC to stop trying to connect. Once this has happened Re-click the cable selection and close the window.

3) Go to your P900 back to cable settings in the control panel and change the last setting Flow control to Xon/Xoff and then place your device back in the cradle. It will again try to connect to you PC and it should establish a connection this time.

4) You may fine that you can connect consistently with this setting or (which is more likely) your device will get hung up trying to connect again. Follow step 3 again but change the Flow control setting to none. Alternate between these 2 settings on your P900 and you should have success.

I know this is an extra step but this has consistently worked for me and I hope it works for you... after all what's an additional 20 seconds compare to a huge headache.

is it psychological or what.. i had been using the cradle since i got my P800 a year ago and it was always at 9600. I didn't know there was a setting to increase its speed until reading your message and it does seem to be faster (at least on the PC File Manager). tnx mate.
