What's the minimum computer requirements to run the p9xx software (for sync, backup, firmware etc.)? Also the developer software, is there some version of the GNU C compiler for apps, or is there some other dedicated cross-compiler and is it freely available or do you have to pay extra 4 it? Cheers. What about the C compiler for symbian? Do you have to sign NDA's or pay for the compiler or is it free to download from somewhere? This message was posted from a T610

It's a modified gcc, included with the uiq 2.1 sdk which is available from www.sonyericsson.com/developer (free registration). You don't need the ide's the sdk versions refer to, compiling for the actual hardware is always done with gcc. At least the borland version has everything needed to compile from the cmdline.
