Hi,

obviously have the flip with my P910, and i find that speaking to someone with the flip up is not too comfortable, so normally talk with the flip down...

however is it possible to set it so when i flip it down the call is answered, so don't need to press answer ?

I remember when I first got my first P800 and I naturally assumed that it would work that way and couldn't understand why I was missing those first few calls

although this gets asked quite a bit I haven't seen any software solution to provide that functionality

It doesn't work because it doesn' need to work.
You use it as a phone with the flip closed or removed. It's not as though the microphone is on the end of the flip, if anything having it open possibly impedes the clarity of your voice reaching the mic!

actually what I would like to be able to do is open the flip and have the call answered in speakerphone mode automatically. That would be much more useful to me than opening to answer in non speakerphone mode

Mass... If you answer(flip closed) then open the flip on my P900 it turns the speaker phone on... Ain't that almost what ya want??

It would be better if speaker comes on once open, instead you have to answer w/ flip close then open flip for speaker phone. Not a very big deal but would be more convience.

Also if in call with flip open, click on speaker icon and chose speaker phone on to turn it on.
