> Why doesn't SE make a perfect phone?

What i mean by perfect is that, it has everything you need and it has only a few minor drawbacks. Like the K700. Gr8 phone but what would have gone wrong if they had given it an expansion slot! For me It's a BIG drawback. Now, the S700. Great phone too! But for It's price i can get two 6600s or an XDA2, both smartphones. And why didn't they give it Duo Pro support? At the moment, for me, buying an se (which i love so much) doesn't make any sense. :-( SE Are You Listening? :-(

perhaps the answer is very simple. If they made the perfect phone what would they do next after that?
anyway, what is a perfect phone for you isn't neccessarily a perfect phone for me or for the next person so no company ever could make "the perfect phone"

Its because if

did make the perfect phone they'd not be able to sell anyother phone they made thus losing money.
When they make a phone and miss off a feature they useally put it in there next (upgraded) phone making the custmor want to shell out on that phone. (like some did with the s700 even tho they had a k700, same phone few extra features in s700 than the k700).
But that imo some may just have liked the look of the s700 over the k700.
Anyway i thought

did make the perfect phone "t68" (well it was at that time

)
And now the p910

Why do we always get new toothpaste.?
Why is there always new and improved washing up liquid?
Why do doesn't gillette just put 15 blades on their razors and get on with it.

15 blades, ouch!
masseur is spot-on with the two reasons in his post though.

There would be ways of not needing to use tooth past, there is technology for extremely long batteries but energizer etc.. wont make money!

Masseur, i know there can't be anything perfect. But the K700 could have been much better off if it had an expansion slot. An unbeatable phone which would have blown away the competition to smithereens! What reason can se give for not providing it an expandable memory option?

I very much agree with you. K700 would have been a g8t phone had there been a memory expansion slot cos it's the only drawback according to me. I'm a true SE fan since the time of ericsson and my 1st to 4th are SE. Therefore SE it will be g8t if you could update the k700 with a expsn slot.
