> K700i LED light goes off

I have been experiencing some very annoying defect with K700i. My screen's light goes off once in a while. I can still see the icons but it's very dark. At first the screen would just blink, now it's completely off. I have no idea what caused this. If anyone had any similar problems, any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
PS. I have already updated the firmware successfully. I don't think that is the issue.

is this with phone in locked mode? if yes.. then it is ok... if it is in unlocked, then trouble...

If it's unlocked the light will still turn off after a period of inactivity but comes back on when u press anything.
This is normal with ALL phones in order to save power.
If it doesn't come back on when u press a button......THEN there's something wrong

Any input is greatly appreciated. Anyone had similar experiences?

That is a fault. Do a master reset. And if the problem still persists, take it to a se service centre.

I just performed both suggestion. When it's testing LED illumination, the light went off and the screen becomes dark. Did a master restart, and it remains the same
I'm currently living in the States and this phone hasn't come out yet. So I guess I have to deal with this right now. Quite dissapointed with SE because this is such a cool phone.

Most certainly not normal operation.sounds like a dry solder joint!take it to your nearest se service centre mate,they'll fix it.
