Searched for this kind of problem at the forum and couldnt find anything about it(apart for my post in another thread that was misplaced)
So here it goes...
It seems like there is some kind of bug at the alert mechanism of recurrent appointments. I synch my K700i (using the latest synch station software of SE) with Outlook (2K) calendar to a certain period lets say 20 days back and 60 days ahead. When the time comes for an alert of a recurring appointment the phone is producing an alert for ALL the instances of that appointment in the calendar which results in multiple alerts (always 9 alerts?!?, which I need to dismiss by viewing) and there will be NO more alerts for ALL the future instances of this appointment!!
Searched through the SE FAQ/Knowledge Base and I couldn’t find any answers for this issue.

Has anyone encountered such problems ? Any suggestion ideas ?

BTW: the firmware version is R2L

I havn't upgraded to R2L, I got my phone with it already.
Tried to get some answers from the SE call center, still waiting...

I read somewhere that there is a possiblity to "snooze" a meeting alert at the R2L firmware, it does not exist in my phone though..
I only got "Yes" and "No" options when a meeting alert comes up.

Does anyone else has managed to sync its outlook meetings (specially recurrent ones) properly ? and if so how ?
This feature is really important to me...so I am anxious to get some answers...

Does ne1 know the max length of the appointment entry & how much of the Outlook notes that can be synched to the k700?

I have noticed that the k700 sync will ignore Outlook's appointment notes if it has formatting that is not standard. If you copy a note to the Outlook appointment with fancy formatting, the k700 sync will ignore it and it will not appear on the phone.

I got exact the same problems overhere. It didn't do this on R2C. But it only appeared on R2l.

Mine settings are: WindowsXP SP2
Outlook 2003

As for the sync settings they are just standard. I didn't have changed anything on those. Not before the problem or after those.

I didn't do a master reset AFTER the update could this maybe be the reason?

I have exactly the same problem. I bought a new phone with latest firmware 2 weeks ago.
Beside that, every time I make a sync, I get copies of appointments, tasks and notes on my phone. For exaple I do sync 10 times, changing nothing (!!!) not on the phone not im my Outlook2003 on WinXP , and I get 10 tasks, that is 10 copies of the original one or 10 notes or 10 appointments. It makes me crazy. I erased everything on the phone and started all over, but the same thing.
Now looking for other software to sync.

What can I be doing wrong?

snowgoose, I have the same problem as yours. My setup: XP & Outlook 2003, Firmware R2L. But after having installed SyncStation_1.5.5.3.exe I don't get the recurring appointments anymore...

nejcbond, I HAD the same problem I solved it by installing the last version of the sync SW from the support webpage (SyncStation_1.5.5.3.exe). Give it a try.
