Hi,
I am an Airtel calcutta subscriber...is there any way 2 send sms thru email...various sites say that one can send an email as <mobilenumber>@Airtelkol.com ... But that does not work...help would be greatly appreciated...thanks :-)

I dunno whether that would work here in India. But you can create a POP3 email id on your phone by registering at wap.mymail.ro Then, you can send and receive emails directly in your phone. I am using it!

Actually it's possible the other way around:you can send email thru a sms. Why would one send a sms thru an email when one can easily design an html interface for sms?! He you weren't wrong then i don't know any sites like those.

Yes you can send and receive emails but you can't see attachments on the T230 though. The settings are: Incoming and outgoing Server- mail.mymail.ro Password- your password Mailbox: your id without the part after @. Ie he your he is whizkidd@mymail.ro, then your mailbox would be Whizkidd. Thats it .

@whiz...entered all the settings as mentioned...when i try 2 send and receive within 3 seconds i get a message that the server was not found...good grief, what is the problem now?

Very funny...of course i signed up...mailbox: vmaliwal1987...password filled...incoming and outgoing: mail.mymail.ro...connect using: AIRTEL LIVE...is there anything else required for this thing? Do something about it please...I AM ABOUT 2 BLOW UP!
