Britsh navy ships used to have lemon nd orange juice on board to protect the sailors from scurvy. One good day, the British Navy replaced it by
lime juice as it contained more of a certain essential acid (of which I cannot remember the name

) ad that is why originally british sailors and now british nationals are referred to as Limeys. From what I understand it is not a polite word though.., right?
