3 friends see nice BT handsfree on sale in a shop window for £30.
After deciding to purchase this item they all pay £10 each and go inside and buy the handsfree from the shopkeeper and his assistant, After which they leave the shop.
The shopkeeper realises the handsfree should have only been £25 and so gives his young assistant 5 £1 and tells him to go after the 3 friends and give them back £5.
However, the cheeky assistant keeps £2 for himself and upon reaching the friends, gives them back 3 £1 coins, meaning each of the friends paid £9 instead of £10 each.
Now, if each of the friends paid £9 each, and the cheeky assistant kept £2, then why doesn' that add up to £30.
Where is the missing 1 pound.

It shouldn't sum up £30 it should sum £25.
They've paid £27 but the guy kept £2 so it makes £25

=£30
But just taking into account what the friends have paid, 3*9 = 27, you minus the money the assistant took, not plus.
I know Krubach said it, but I had to run it through in my head again
