Ive just bought the sexy K700i and it keeps asking for the 'Phone Lock Code'...

The phone is on orange but im going to de-brand it once ive discovered the code...

Ive tried '0000' and '1111'-'9999' with no success!!

Im getting frustrated now as this phone is the best ive ever owned, colour screen, polyphonic tones etc etc etc...

But i cant use it at all till i can get it de-branded!!

HELP!!!

You simply need to go back to who you bought it off and they can tell you the code. if they cannot then it is stolen.

if you go here
http://www.sonyericsson.com/updateservice/K700/frameset.htm

you can upgrade your handsets firmware to the latest version or use the recovery mode.

i am not sure but maybe when flashing the phone the lock code will be reset to the default 0000.

sorry i dont have a k700 so i am doing my best.

Maybe the best thing to do is take it to a sony ericsson service centre.

i dont think the phone lock is anything to do with the phone being stolen as it is the user themselves who decide what the code is, not the operator.

Or the person who sold it may have forgotten it?

Upgrading the firmware on the phone won't reset the phone lock code either
