I use Firefox (1.0 i think)
esato is basically my homepage (i use it loads) theres just one annoying thing. Whenever i click "mark all post read" nothing happens. so the only way i can clear the new posts is going to internet settings and clearing my cache and cookies!! which is quite annoying as i have to do it like every hour. is it a problem with firefox??? can it be changed??

thanks

Sorry to drag this old post up

Anyway just upgraded from IE and Outlook to Firefox And Thunderbird (wish i had done this years ago) and am having the same problem regarding the " Whenever i click mark all post read nothing happens" is there any kind of workaround apart from the clearing all cookies and cache fix

Mark all post read? Is that new option at Esato or a fireox option? This message was posted from a T230

yeh it happens to me aswell...the mark all posts read option basically does nothing in firefox...i just tend to leave it for a while and when i refresh the page later on they all dissappear anyway.

but a way to fix it would be great

its a web based Esato option which we've had for about a year.

All it does is updates the Esato cookie to the current date and time so that "new posts" at the top starts showing new posts from that time onwards. The old way of doing it was to delete the Esato cookie so this option makes it much simlier

next time you're on web click on "new posts" at the top and then look at the bottom of the page and you will see the "mark all posts read"

if you go into "edit your preferences" there is also an option to "Erase Esato forum cookies"

Its an esato option

If you click on New Posts and scroll down to the bottom of the page you can click on Mark All Posts Read which clears all cookies for esato only

EDIT too slow as usual

Thanks mass, new posts will always show lot of posts from upto 5 days old. So end up clicking post last 24 hours. Will definitely look into this new found feature. This message was posted from a T230

def a prob with firefox, have the a similer problem with another forum, where i will click login and firefox will just go back to the same page without logging in. So i have to use IE for esato and a car forum, then firefox for everything else.
