Hi,
Can someone tell me why I am not able to use opera or netfront on my P800 while the standard browser coming along with P800 works just fine.
Is their any particular settings to be done before using these 2 browsers?

Opera, netfront need a internet apn while the internal browser works with wap apn also.

Many operators block the wap apn to wap port(920*) so u cant use for instant messenging, internet, pop3, etc. The internet apn is not blocked to any port, so u can use with all kind of app... Remember not all operators do this restriction

WAP has nothing to do with connecting to internet, it's just a type of internet page(wireless access protocal) you still need GPRS or even dial up to get to WAP pages(Sites)

Yes, Opera works on an Internet APN. If Opera doesn't work, it means you're actually on a standard WAP APN and need to ask Orange for the correct settings.
