how do i take the battery cover off? its quite stiff and i dont want to break it do you insert a pin to release the catch thats on the hole at the base of the phone?

Actually you can get superglue solvent which should only loosen the glue and not (hopefully) melt the plastic
Oh and you should pour hydraulic brake fluid on his car
Also WD-40 can cause superglue to crystalize making it brittle, it also has the advantage of not affecting plastic.
