If the phone companies are to be believed, this time next year we'll all be wearing our mobiles round our necks as some sort of fashion statement. We're not entirely convinced, but that's what we said about ponchos, and sure enough we've been swanning about in a big sleeveless crocheted jumper for months. To aid us in this ridiculous new mugger-friendly fashion trend, The Carphone Warehouse has got together with "hot new UK fashion talent", Alistair Carr to design some "neck ropes". These two initial designs are limited edition straps, available in Selfridges and Harrods CPW concession stores. More designs will follow in the coming months.
