Not tried a german o2 phone but I guess o2 would put their 'no SE update service' policy across the board so I'd say no but it wouldn't hurt to try!

You need a DSS-20 or DSS-25, no other cable will work!

not sure about that - reading the (excellent) posts here -i took the plunge and went for a multiserver log - online update - on my O2 branded phone - went perfectly. My phone was screwed up by a local SE support centre - then sent it away to O2 for a few weeks - came back just the same - useless. £8 well spent on multiserver and their software is perfect - and gives you the option for DE Language
(K700_EU3.K7L K700_FIRMWARE_ZONE_1_.K7S EN / DA / NL / FR / DE)

I would say -go for it

@ englishmanabroad

He asked about using the online update, not multiserver! I have used multiserver to de-brand my phone then update to R2L, which allowed me to use the online update to get R2M but many are not willing to invalidate the warranty by using this so in answer to his question:

No, online update will not work with an o2 branded phone.

Using multiserver, thats a different story (and a different thread)!

ouch! sorry DC:UK - i wasn't so clinical. just pleased that i have finaly got rid of the cra*p problems through branded phones - anyway, SE update is off line this evening - poster would be better off spending a few pennies and getting a multiserver log
